Parents appear to be Frederick and Leah?
Q1,No sign of birth as Minnie, what might this be pet name for?

Your first problem is that Newark is in Nottinghamshire?
And not in Northamptonshire - the board in which this is posted?

There is this birth, which is a possibility?
September qtr 1859
Peterborough Registration District     vol 3b, page 198
Bothamley, Mary Ann

In the later census, Minnie's birthplace is given as Peterborough.

Hello,
Possibility here living in Peterborough

1861 965/100/9

Mary Ann Bethamley - transcription with parentsFrederick and Sarah A and siblings

1871 1516/130/14

Ninnie Bethamley - transcription

The problem is that she is a daughter in both censuses but Frederick ages by about 30 years  :-\

You would need to investigate further  :)

Heywood

Sorry about that, heywood! :-[

Just one thought?
Minnie would have been about 35 at marriage.
Is it possible she was previously married?

The marriage certificate would give the answer, as well as her father's name.

Eric there is an area in the Soke of Peterborough called Newark.

It does seem to be Mary Ann 1859 who later becomes Minnie.

In 1845 Frederick Bothamley Serjeant married Sarah Ann See in the Sep Qtr of Peterborough R.D.

All the children on the censuses noted have mothers maiden name See.

Sadly I can not see a marriage in the C of E for either Frederick or Minnie
in Peterborough R.D. on the Northants Marriage Indexes.

Folks,
Thanks for the time spent on this while i was sleeping.
Reply #1,by way of explanation i could not find Newark,Northamprtonshire using Genuki,Ancestry,Archersoftware etc but A Z road atlas had a listing which was confirmed on Google Earth.
Reply #2 Mary Ann marries in Leeds in 1877 so this is not my girl.Using familysearch i looked for Frederick Bothamley births 1800-1830,no baptism but  census for 1851 and 1861 show two Fredericks,
one born Dogsthorpe c 1807 spouse Leah,1861 has daughter Minnie!
one born Dogsthorpe c 1825 spouse Sarah Ann
probably father and son.
Reply #4 This research is a one place study for Yaxley so purchase of certificates is not going to happen.May leave on the back burner for now.
Reply #5 Minnie married JAS 1895 Peterborough RD
Might Minnie be pet for Emily?
Thanks all for your help.
