Thanks again Sandra

I managed to find the index records for William's Naturalization on Family Search  :)  This additional information for his second wife, Helen, is a bonus!

Crawford, Neilson, Lindsay, Reekie, Davidson
Drummond, Laing, Pearson, Tulloch ... will do for starters but there's a whole lot more!

Glasgow to New York - arriving 3 April 1922 - Cameronia - mother Mrs Christina Cunningham, 33 No Castle Street St Andrews. Going to a friend David Kirkcaldy Cape Fear Country Club, Wilmington.

Hi Sandra

I never actually got the petition, just the index for it  :'(  but thanks for the information anyway.

I've just discovered that William was originally registered as "John Frederick" and a correction made "under the hand of the Reverend James Ferguson B.D., Minister of the Martyrs Free Church, St Andrews, Fife" to read "William Melville Duncan"

A serious name change  ::)
