Is this John with wife Ann in 1861 living in Soham,Cambridgeshire next door to a James Rankune and family??

You do need the marriage cert info but just a thought that this might be worth considering re John and family in 1841 - living in Soham. All born in County :-\

That does look interesting, I've had so many problems with the Haylocks'  :o

I have some marriage details, he says his father is William a Shoemaker.. So the baptism looks good also..

Will check those out..

I think this is the same family in 1851 Living at Hall Street, Soham.  The nextdoor family is John Ginn and family - Could the enumerator have made an error with Sarah's sons surname???

The baptism has has father's occ = cordwainer, so that fits..

Just need to come to terms with Harlock, if it is him, he uses Haylock from the marriage  :-\

I wonder whether they could read and write and it was all in the pronunciation??
