I suspect Albany S Johnston is the Albany Johnston who did 40 days hard labour in Dorchester prison in1839, for breaking the articles of war. His home address was 4 Roley St [??] Marylebone and he was a soldier in the 10th Hussars.

Just discovered that Mary Ann Johnstone married yet again in 1853 to Robert Kuchenbecher. She died aged 79 in 1885. Again with a name like that I still cannot find her or husband in 1861/1871.

Bizarrely Dorchester prison in 1855 admits a Robert Edwd Julius Kerchenbecker for vagrancy - gathering alms under false pretences. He's b c1804. Sentance 3 months

Foley St I think.

The 10th Hussars were stationed at Dorchester according to an 1839 listing (United Service Magazine, vol 30, p 570).

Albany Johnston, 10th Hussars appears in a list of Army deserters, 27 Apr 1840.  He was aged 20 and born Marylebone.
