I am trying to find out about Francis J. MOORE, the son of Alfred William MOORE a soldier in the 49th Regiment and his wife Rebecca nee ALDERDICE (married Belfast 1864). Francis was born in Athlone in 1865 but I would like to find his birth or baptism record, if anyone can help please.
Alfred William's regiment went to India and he and Rebecca had a daughter Mary Ellen, born Deesa, Gujarat 1868, buried Deesa 5 September 1869. Their other (known) children were born 1873 onwards in England.
I have found the death record of a Francis MOORE DQ 1889 aged 24 (therefore born 1865) in the
Ireland Civil Registration Death Index (on Ancestry). This gives the Registration District as Secunderabad. Is it possible to get a certificate for this entry if it was in India?
I'd welcome some ideas about how to proceed please.
