Musk family in shropham parish church
« on: Friday 17 March 17 18:42 GMT (UK) »
After visiting the memorial to my great uncle Leslie musk (killed in 1918) in shropham church looked in the church grounds and didn't find any gravestones for musks from shropham, given that one of them only died 1976 was a bit puzzled?? Anyone help?

Possibly they were cremated rather than buried? You need to see the Parish registers as that should tell you if they were buried there.

Hi
There are 50 earlier burials at Shropham on FindMyPast ,the last in 1916 and the first 1793.

It is also possible that they were buried there but no headstone was erected on the grave.

Norfolk Family History Society has one MI for Shropham which reads

"In affectionate remembrance of Mary Ann the beloved wife of James MUSK who fell asleep in Jesus August 30 1873 aged 23 years Dear husband do not weep for me so early torn from Earth and thee but love my child for my own sake and peace which God through Jesus make"

So there must be at least one head stone ;)
