Do we presume the surname was Jones?
No birthplaces given 

Going back to 1901, I found her as a granddaughter of William and Mary! Along with William, Mary, Blodwin, was son David William and his wife Jane daughter in law and another granddaughter Mary E Jones, I assumed Mary E was a daughter of David and Jane.

Be helpful if you included David's birthyear and birthplace.  Lots of David Jones so how do we know the 1891 is the same David as 1901?

it would help you to check her date of birth on the 1939 register. We're not allowed to give you the info from it because of copyright, but the date she gave is NOT the same as the date of birth given on her death reg. So, if you give that date to the Merthyr Tydfil registrars, they either won't find the cert or will find an incorrect one.
