Hi there,

I am looking for any info of a color=Blue](*)[/color] born abt 1932 Northern Ireland.
He sailed from Southampton in 1950 on the Austrauis bound for Melbourne Australia.
Very little is known of his life since he left for Australia.

It appears that this man is still alive and probably living in NSW

Sadly this appears to be in memoriam for his son

It seems this man and his family also returned to Australia from U.K. in 1962.   Are you sure it wasn't the same man emigrating in 1950 and returning from U.K. in 1955?  Approx same age.

Hi there,

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=368728.msg2436322#msg2436322

Here on RootsChat we are very concerned that the privacy and security of the living is protected. For this reason we do not allow searches for living persons. Although we fully understand you would like recent information to add to your tree, or that you may wish to make contact with birth families, relatives you lost contact with when they immigrated to Australia, missing family or friends, we are afraid we are unable to assist you.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience this causes you but we are sure you will appreciate the reasons for this.

........................

If you are looking for living descendants, that is fine provided you do not provide details of these living persons. If you are providing details of someone we are likely to suspect may still be living, but you know is deceased, please state this.

Although we are keen to help you make connections, there are times, however, when other community networks will be able to do more and this is especially so in the case of people searching for their birth parents/missing people. We suggest using Google Search will lead such searchers in the right direction.

We are sorry we are unable to help you with any searches for the living but may we wish you every success in your hunt

Please consider removing the given name of the person of interest (born about 1932) as it cannot be confirmed that that person is no longer living.

ADD
Please also check your records, as the chap who arrived 1950 per Asturias was aged 27 so born about 1923, not 1932 and the passenger list does NOT have any middle name or middle initial.   See National Archives of Australia passenger list.   http://naa.gov.au/collection/search/

It's confusing  ???  The outward bound from U.K. Passenger list for Asturias 1950 has him as 18 and a factory hand from 247 Cupar St, Belfast Northern Ireland  ???

Ros

Adding : only first initial given on U.K. List .  Departure date 8 feb 1950

Hello all,

First may I add my apologies for infringing Rootschat privacy and security rules.
So names will not be used in any more postings about this request.
I also want to thank those of you who answered my request.
It is all very confusing so many with the same christian and surname.
What is certain is what rosball posted. This man was only 18 when he left and the home address is correct.
thanks,
bswinno
