The above married Gordon L Reed b Q4 1928 Yarmouth and married there Q1 1953, they had a son born there in 1954. Betty seems to have emigrated to Victoria, Australia as she is on the electoral rolls 1972-1980 but neither her husband or son appear there. Searching for her husband I came across a gravestone for Gordon Leonard Reed b 22 Oct 1928 d 25 May 1982 at Waveney, Suffolk but his wife was Brenda Mary also buried there who d Jan. 22 2007.
I can find no record for Betty's emigration and can only think that she divorced or was divorced before she left the UK?
Did Gordon remarry in Australia before returning to England as we can find no remarriage in the UK to Brenda Mary?

It is possible that Gordon did not marry again - second wifes death registered under 2 surnames.

These notices are for the correct lady and Ernest did marry 1957 at Yarmouth. I know of Simon but not Justin and Jason, nor Roger and Mercy?

Cando, I couldn't get the NAA link to work but found it anyway.

On the passenger card for her immigration in 1967 Betty says she is divorced and gives an intended address in Warrnambool although obviously she was in Melbourne by 1972.

James McGregor KELLY (her intended address) was also from Yarmouth (where his mother resided).  A very brave man!
