Hi,

From prison records John's family or next of kin is recorded as -

Brother in law was Samuel Trills/Frills/Mills? living in a county? opposite Clives Foundry, Sainforth Street, Birmingham.

Hopefully Samuel can be found to see who he married which should lead to John - if only it were so simple!!

JJ

Have found a Thomas Clive, Iron Founder on Staniforth Street, Birmingham in the Gazetteer & Directory of Warwickshire, 1850

On the 1851 Thomas Clive is living at 50 Staniforth Street.

Thanks JJ,

I have carried out some preliminaries, Trills/Frills/Mills, but nothing startling yet.   Tomorrow I shall try "Graley" marriages more in hope than expectation and then possibly the Thomas Clive lead ???

For the moment,
