Do you have confirmed dates?  Is there corroborating evidence via obits, burial records, etc.  Not sure why the deaths would not have been registered.

It seems very odd that the deaths have not been registered. I was wondering if there is any possibility that the deceased died in a jurisdiction other than Ontario, say Michigan for example, and were brought back to Ontario for burial? In that case, there would only be a burial record and not a death registration.

I have had a look at Michigan death records on familysearch but no luck. I think I need to contact a couple of cemeteries and see what records they hold. Would think that they would have a copy of death cert but have found that this is not always the case. Occasionally only burial date recorded.

Always the possibility I guess. I have never been able to find the death for her husband (Archibald Ernest Sinclair) either. I have always assumed that he died after 1940 and did not have a headstone.
I have found that Archie died in 1968 and is buried in Duart Cemetery in Ontario

I have had contact with Duart cemetery and the only info that they have re Archie's burial is the year. Not much help in finding where or when he died.

Contacted a cemetery re a burial of a person who died in 1941(headstone) but did not show up in the death index. The cemetery can tell me the plot he is in and who he is buried with but there is no record of his burial or death date. Frustrating
