According to the death certificate was born Carlisle 1 December 1871 - father Hodgson and mother Sinclair. Had lived in Canada for 33 years.

When your grandmother Elizabeth married did she name her father as George Henry Hodgson. (Sorry I see you have stated that)

What was George Hodgson's occupation and who were the witnesses to the wedding.

The only 1931 Canada death that I located with wife Marion was George Nelson Hodgson so possibly not your relation
