Could some kind soul tell me what this says please? It's taken from a description book & relates to the person's discharge in 1814.

Hectic. Hectic fever occurs in connection with certain chronic wasting illnesses.

Medical Dictionary's definition:

""hectic fever Spiking fever Infectious disease A highly nonspecific term for either a fever characterized by a daily spike in temperature, or one in which the peak  and trough temperatures differ by 1.4ºC; the term may be so clinically meaningless as to be completely abandoned.""
