1911 Census Lookup

I'm looking for Michael and Elizabeth Tansey on the 1911 census or maybe just Elizabeth as Michael died 16 May 1911 and I can't remember the exact date of the 1911 census enumeration.

In 1901 Michael and Elizabeth were residing at Sandbach Street, Monks Coppenhall, Crewe.  Also in the household were their three children viz Alfred, James and Elizabeth aged 7, 5 and 1 as well as Catherine Bowers? a sixty-year-old widow described as his sister.

Michael's occupation and address given on his death certificate correspond with the 1901 census, however his age doesn't.  His death certificate says he was 81 but in 1901 his given age is 56.  His son Patrick Tansey was present at the death.

And I can't find a marriage for Michael and Elizabeth Tansey.  She was born in Wheelock near Crewe.  I only found this census ref yesterday so hadn't realised he'd been married a second time.  His first wife was Bridget and she died in 1890.  With her he had 9 children born between 1854 and 1869.

Unfortunately we are not allowed to conduct 1911 look ups (RootsChat policy) The date of the 1911 census was 2 April 1911 therefore Michael should be recorded.

Have you tried variations of the name Tansey? Try putting in the name Michael, born Sligo and use the same address as the 1901. As Michael's death address is the same as that on the 1901 then it is more than likely they are still there is 1911.

Not found a marriage for Michael.  There's a birth of a James Tansey q1 1896, Nantwich with mother's maiden name Smith.

Sometimes names can be mistranscribed -

e.g. maybe you could try Jansey instead of Tansey??
