Can anyone help me find census details for the above. He married a Christina Clark in January QTR 1901, but he was in the Northumberland Fusillers, so he may have been in barracks. I have tried Ancestry and FindMyPast, without success. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Stan,
Yes, I know that but I cannot find his whereabouts, (or his wife's) in the 1901 census. According to the 1911 census, she was married, but living with someone else, no doubt while her hubby, was in India. It says that she had 9 children, with only 6 surviving, but most of them went to the York Workhouse, presumably as the husband had been posted to India, and she could not cope.

Hi Stan,
He was married in the 1st Qtr of 1901 to Christina Clark, but perhaps he was on leave. They had 9 children so Christina's 1911 census says, so sometime between 1901 and 1911, he must have been in the UK. According to the death Cert of one of his children Edward James b1902 he died in Newcastle in 1902 and his father was a Painter and Decorator at the time. Perhaps he dropped out of the Army, tried Civvy Street, didn't like it and re-enlisted before 1911.

Hi Mabel,
His probate is a bit misleading as he left his small amount to the lady who he lodged with, who happens to be my Grandfather's widow. He was Harold William Pearson and died in November 1931.

I think your best move is to get the 1901 marriage cert and see what info that gives you - address etc.
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex
