Did he have a sister called Jane? if so then there is a tree on Ancestry with the same photograph, is it yours?

The photo dates after 1915 as he is wearing a 1915 economy tunic. He is RAMC.

The passage of time since you first posted about this man may tell you that, unfortunately, the fact that his regiment was the Royal Army Medical Corps is likely to be all that can be found about his army service.

There is certainly no service enlistment or pension record as you have probably found out yourself.  Someone who served at Gallipoli would have earned the 1914-1915 Star and there is no medal record for an RAMC man by the name (or variants thereof).  The Black Watch didn't serve at Gallipoli.  There are no cards for an RAMC/Black Watch combination.

The lack of a medal card indicates no overseas service .

As Frank has pointed out, his photo appears on a number of Ancestry public trees so presumably at least whoever first put it there (for others no doubt to copy!) may have information about his service.
