Corneilus Murphy Death look up

Just looked at that - he was born Ire land, so looks the correct one.

I notice he died 12th April 1926 & the find a grave has a date of November 1926 - Is this odd?

The message on that site says could be the date of interment. Perhaps the body was moved from one grave to another, or perhaps he was cremated and the ashes interred later? I see that is a Catholic Cemetery, might be worth finding out when it opened.  Or it could be it's a coincidence and that isn't his grave. That one has the middle initial of E, did yours?

Dont know if he had a middle initial - Other members of family are buried in this cemetery so more than likely it is him tks

On the 1920 census a James J Sullivan    is listed as stepson.

On the Coroner's report a Jas J Sullivan (stepson) is listed as witness.

Can anyone see a death for wife of Corneilus Murphy- Elizabeth. Last recorded on 1940 census living with son Gerald Murphy

Perhaps Elizabeth re-married - nothing on the California Death Index for someone with a birth year 1876

So that November one isn't him. Strange that 3 Corneilius Murphys all died in 1926!
