Hello,

Richard BIRCH was born St. Martin, Birmingham, 24/01/1846, the son of Richard BIRCH and his wife Sarah (nee COX)......the parents are correct in that on leaving prison after 3 years on 16/07/1863 he stated he was returning to his mother's address, 111 Hill Street, Birmingham.The address is confirmed by the 1861 Census: RG9/2150/63, p.29.

Sadly, I can find no further references to Richard BIRCH after 1863 and wonder if anyone can help??

The middle name can sometimes be of help  :)

He was baptised as Benjamin Richard.
