The Herald's Visitation of Cheshire states that Thomas Whicksted of Nantwich was a younger (sib) of Whickstid of Whickstid, but gives no further details of the senior branch of the family. All I have been able to trace is the PCC will of one of these Whickstids of Whickstead who served at the court of James I. Any further information would be gratefully received.
