Interesting that he gives his father as George Alfred in second marriage.

It looks as though he used both names in Army too so perhaps illegitimacy?

There is a death in 1909, 1st quarter, vol 1d pg  554 Wandsworth for a Madeline Kimber 43 yrs.

I can't believe all this has just happened. I searched for ages earlier.   ::)

The family were living in Wandsworth...I thought she died in India too. Just goes to prove never listen to family stories without checking them!
