Elizabeth Quinn, Mountnorris
« on: Saturday 01 April 17 22:39 BST (UK) »
I am seeking the birth details of Elizabeth Quinn, who married James O’Neill in Ardboe parish, Co Tyrone, on 30 September 1920. Elizabeth stated that she was a minor (under 21), and that her father was Patrick Quinn, a labourer. It is not known exactly when she was born, nor where. Elizabeth died 18 October 1932 aged 29 years.
So far, searches for her birth in Co Tyrone have proved negative.
I wish to know if anyone has information concerning Elizabeth Quinn who was born in Mountnorris on 5 March 1902. Her father was Patrick Quinn, a labourer, and her mother’s maiden name was Mary McParland. Elizabeth was the youngest of eight children, and the family appears in the 1911 census –   http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Armagh/Mountnorris/Mountnorris/305501/
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

As well as  Elizabeth    b.05-Mar-1902 born in Mountnorris
Parents:  Patrick Quinn and Mary McPartland, there was also a Lizzie Ann born 1897...she must have been one of the children who died.

Thank you for your reply: I had accessed lots of records for the Quinn family of Mountnorris, but it was only after I had posted here that I discovered the true marriage record of Elizabeth of Mountnorris, daughter of Patrick and Mary; she married in her home district - in the Oratory of Whitecross - on 13 August 1925.
The search for the birth of Elizabeth O'Neill née Quinn, who died 18 October 1932 aged 29 years, continues....

Like you I can't find any sign of Elizabeth in the Clonoe area. She and James O'Neill both give    Aughacolum (Aughacolumb) as their address at their marriage. Is this James?http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Tyrone/Killycolpy/Killywoolaghan/861775/

Yes, that is James. However none of the O'Neill family - including the descendants of James and Elizabeth - know anything about her origin.
