I'm not having any luck with the parish registers, tried to have a look in the neighbouring parishes but most don't go far enough date wise.
Maybe someone else will have more luck.
You could wait for the image of the marriage to come online, no idea at the moment when that will be or you could order a €4 research copy of it
https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/civil-records/help/i-want-to-get-a-copy-of-a-certificate-what-do-i-do

There are probably more children to find
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp

and of course Patrick might have an army record but you would need a subscription to Ancestry I think although they have moved some records, I'm not too sure which, people on the Armed Forces board would know.

I think this is Patrick Hawkins and family in 1901
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Galway/Grange/Larrowtrehaun/1386676/
took a while to find the place name as it's spelling is slightly different on maps and other sites, but fairly sure this is it
Lecarrowntruhaun just left of New Inn so in the right area

I don't think this was my grandfather as I think in 1901 he would have been 13 although because I don't think it was a common name they maybe relatives
Thanks very much

A two year age difference isn't much, where did you get his age, if from his death they are often incorrect, as are census ages. People were rather vague about ages back than.
I picked that census because Patrick is an age to marry by 1911 and his father Patrick is a shepherd so the same as herd on the marriage cert.
But it's only a possible.

Either way I can't find any births for the children in the census.

I didn't realise the ages could be incorrect, he married in 1911 and their first child was born in 1913 a girl I think her name was Mary Kate?

Thanks

Sometimes they even lie. Many age by 20 years between 1901 and 1911 in the hope of getting a pension, but people didn't celebrate birthdays so they often lost track of their age.

It was the Patrick and rest on that 1901 census I couldn't find, they say born Galway but they may have moved from another part of Galway to where they were living in 1901.

Firstly connected topic LINK

Also I have sent a PM with some details

My grandparents lived in Woodlawn

Beech Hill House was in Grange but is no longer in exsistence LINK

based on the findings of SINANN

The Patrick HAWKINS of Grange/Lecarrowntruhaun sounds a good match as Rita's father
The marriage certificate would confirm the father's name (shown on census as Patrick)
but be cautious there is a second family in the area that have the same names

In this area nearly every field has a name and everyone's address is different
My Grandfather's brother lived in the house next to his and they had two different addresses!
The house just before my Grandfather's had a third address

Patrick HAWKINS and Mary LALLY  as on the census found (cannot see marriage)

had at least eight children
Patrick #1 Oct 24 1875 address Killaan (presumably died before 1884)
John Jun 10 1877
Bridget Dec 31 1880 address Corraneena
Patrick #2 Jun 15 1884 address Bullaun
Michael Jul 13 1887 address Bullaun
Mary (Molly) Sep 22 1889 address New Inn
James bc1891 died Nov 14 1891 aged 10 months; address Newgrove; informant father Patt
Joseph Mar 25 1893 address New Inn

There is a second Patrick HAWKINS in the area
His wife was Bridget CUSACK;
They married on Jan 28 1869 and had at least 6 children in New Grove/Bullaun LINK
John Jan 27 1870
Maria Jul 19 1871
Patrick Apr 05 1873
Bridget Oct 24 1875
Ellen Mar 21 1878
Margaret Apr 25 1880

some websites are acting up today and I cannot post links or view all records but will update if I locate more

edited to add
