William Bramham, Leeds
« on: Monday 03 April 17 21:50 BST (UK) »
Looking for any information about William Bramham who was born 1899 in Leeds. As far as I can see, he married a woman called Mary Lavelle (also born 1899 in Ballina, County Mayo, Ireland) in 1929 in Leeds.

Having trouble finding out about his parents, whether he had any brothers or sisters etc. as I seem to keep hitting dead ends - his father may have been called Samuel but not 100 percent sure of that!

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks  :)

Hello

If you obtain the marriage certificate it should have the name/occupation of his father to help you.
Plus witness names can often be useful  :)

His birth certificate would be even more useful!

This looks to be the entry as only one comes up.

Jun 1899 Leeds
Bramham William

The GRO birth entry indicates his mothers maiden name was Carroll so you could look for a marriage for his parents using both surnames and births for any siblings.

It looks like the marriage was in 1925 not 1929?

on image Mary Wilson Bramham reads Mary Ellen Bramham -although it is very badly written
Catherine Carroll's occupation seems to be Sheet maker-hemming
Samuel Bramham's occupation reads (to me) Boiler Riveter
