Robert Hunter c1850's , Service records, East Indies?
« on: Tuesday 04 April 17 02:23 BST (UK) »
I've just discovered in  the 1855 valuation roll that "Robert Hunter, soldier, East Indies" was the proprietor of 63 Mill St Rutherglen where my 3g grandfather, John Bennie, was living. I suspect he was somehow related to John's mother, Jane/Janet Hunter.

Is is possible to access these records?
