Mcdonnell,Farrelly and Birth Cert translate please.
« on: Tuesday 04 April 17 23:11 BST (UK) »
Hello
please can anyone translate this cert for me.  mother is Mary Farelly, what does that say for informant it looks like Lady or something to me. I think its castletown in Meath. 13th november 1885.

I am now searching the McDonnell/FARELLY line, he married a Bridget MATHEWS, that according to dna, is going to match with my McGuinness search ::) ???

Many Thanks

You can see from all the others too that the standard format is (1) Informant's name (2)relationship  (3) if present at the birth or not then (4) place of abode - usually a townland.

This site has maps and other details of townlands in Ireland which you might find useful (you can see list of adjoining townlands, all townlands in a parish, etc.)-
https://www.townlands.ie/meath/upper-slane/rathkenny/rathkenny/ladyrath/

It does, however, require exact spelling which is why it's sometimes helpful to search for a place here first (can search by part of a name, etc.)-

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
