Thank you dublin1850. I also found a record for Margaret Byrne of Michael Byrne and Margt Maguire, baptised 28 Nov 1852 in St. Peter's. My dilemma is, how do I know which one?
Ireland: Mayo - O'Malley, Malley, Currigan, Lynchacan. Antrim - McAuley. Louth - Byrne. Down - Smith.

England: Lancashire - O'Malley, McCauley, Foster.

You're always better work backwards than forwards.
Start with what you know - names of children etc., land holdings, if any, and try and make the link.
