Hi All, Firstly thank you for your Birthday wishes much appreciated.
Alfred Stanley Bloggs was born 1891/2 on the 1911 census it shows him living with his mother Sarah Isabel Bloggs, however, I can no find any sign of his father or the marriage of his parents, any help or advice would be great

birth Alfred Stanley Bloggs - December quarter 1891 Hull volume 9D p259 - mother's name Brewer

possible death Alfred S Bloggs - June quarter 1957 Hull volume 2a p214 aged 65

1891 Sarah and Hilda are with Sarah's parents and she is still married but Alfred isn't there.

1901 Sarah is widowed with Hilda and Alfred jnr again at her parents.

If Alfred snr was a sailor there is every chance he died at sea.  Have you tried a newspaper search?

That death at sea is a good find, well done.

Possible birth Alfred Blogg March quarter 1865 Hull 9d 214 no mother's name so possibly a single mother.
