Goole Union Workhouse

I'm new here  :)
I have a couple questions about the Goole Work House..would anyone know why the records no longer exist and what might have happened. My grandmother Annie Taylor was there in 1911 and immigrated to Canada with a group of Barnardo girls she went to Hazelbrae in Peterborough Ontario.
Any help is appreciated.
