Good point rossie99,we missed that completely,so the question is who did alter the grave inscription?could it have been William himself and if he was buried in the same grave as Jane why is he not mentioned on the stone.......really strange .
Thank you all for .the helpful info

But Gwynedd FHS also produce a Burials Index for the Parish of Llanfair-yn-Neubwll 1851-1950 which I should have checked sooner - both Ralstons are listed:
Ralston William Robert Crawshay - 65 - The Bungalow, Valley - Burial 1935.09.18
Ralston Jane - 39 - Bungalow, Valley, Llanynghenedl - 1916.05.24

I guess this means William Ralston was buried with Jane but he is not named on the gravestone.

It confirms they were buried in the same grave yard but does it indicate they are in the same grave. :-\

What does the article about his wife seeing the gravestone say - Was William ordered to change it.

Williams will may indicate his wishes as to where he is buried - executors were Joseph Spencer Hall &  Zaida Swaine -wife of David Richard Swaine.
