ship passenger list Canada to England England to Canada 1919 to 1925
« on: Saturday 08 April 17 10:43 BST (UK) »
Can anyone tell me if Bertha Body who married a Canadian solder Jim Barr in 1919 and moved to Canada travelled with Harry Furniss the artist who died in 1925 please. Both returned to England and back again. Thank you.

Thanks Run Kitty. I expect this means Harry Furniss was not on either of these vessels? ivor

What evidence do you have for Harry Furniss travelling to Canada? I haven't been able to find any record for him in the LAC collections.

Hmm... like Sami, I had a look through the Library and Archives Canada Form 30A collection ... I don't see a Harry or Henry Furniss that matches the records for Bertha.   You can see here...

IMGs 2236 and 2238 are the Harrys.  2248, 2250, 2252 and 2254 are the Henrys.

Just looking at the passenger list to Brazil... it says that Harry is a Cycle and motor worker. ???  Do I have the right list?  Harry born in 1871 and his address is Birmingham??

This is Harry Furniss, artist... born in Ireland in 1854.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Furniss

I don't see any outgoing passenger lists that match a Harry Furniss of that age.
