Can anyone help find the birth of my 3 x great Grandfather, Michael Kelly? I know that his mother is Alice Hughes and his father is Thomas Kelly. I've found 3 children born to Thomas Kelly and Alice Hughes in the Moy (clonfeacle) parish records, which is where I know they lived. More specifically, their address is given as Drumay in the baptismal records, which is a couple of km west of Moy.
I know that Michael emigrated to Glasgow between 1858-1861. I have some estimated birth years for Michael from various sources, including...
1861 census: 1818
1871 census: 1815
1881 census: 1817
Death Cert: 1821
Michael himself has many children who also are recorded in the Moy parish register.
So in a nutshell, Michael was most likely born somewhere around 1818 + or - 3yrs, and he was either baptised in Moy, or somewhere fairly nearby.
