You did a great job.  Her name, of course, was McPherson nee McPhee.  I've been boasting to my friends that my ancestor lived till 94 back in 1876 - which must have been quite rare.

Must have been of good stock My Grandma also lived till 91.. her father was also 91 his brother all reached the ages of 93 /94 ..Good farming stock  ;D ;D

I didn't know you could search on given name only.  I think I'll be trying that for some of my other brick walls.

For the VR's, I used the address only.

Apologies for my typo with McPhee rather than McPherson re looking for a marriage  ::)

Hi I'm jumping in here because I found McPherson with McPhees in a  Lanarkshire Census  in 1891

I am 4th cousin connected to some Mc Phee descendants by DNA

do you have a town in Lanarkshire? I do have a Donald Mackay in my tree married to a Mary Alderidge.   A town would be a help.
