Your suggestion is certainly a possibility and I guess we'll never know
The burials in Leek look a good possibility also, for her parents, as the names match but it's very possible that she was 'adopted' by William and Eliza, especially as, if Laurence and Martha were her 'real' parents, she would have only hazy memories, if any, of them.
