Not sure what you know of this family later on - Eleanor went on to marry Robert Coxey in Liverpool in 1861 and gave her father's name as Isaac Greenman. All this on Ancestry. She's back in Bristol in 1881 with a Coveney son and relatives.

Concerning Thomas, there is not much to go on in the Bristol CDs of Baptisms - none in the period 1800-10 with a name starting LAR...   I can't see him in Somerset baptisms either. There is a Thomas Larcombe baptised at St Mary Redcliffe 13th July 1760, son of James and Christian.

Thomas Larkham married Eleanor Thomas on 11th June 1835 at St Philip and St Jacob, but there is also a marriage for a Thomas Larkham to Charlotte Mills on 31st December 1826 at St Mary le Port, but I can't find a burial for Charlotte so it may a different family.

When do think Samuel Thomas died? I can't see a suitable burial for him either in Bristol unless he's the one buried at St Andrews, Clifton aged 70 in 1831,

I do have the earlier and subsequent marriages for Eleanor, I will check out the Larcombe baptism you found. Could be a turning point. As Ive come up empty on all searches thus far.

I have as his parents :
Thomas larkenn 1755– and Ellen ? 1760–,
however I feel that cant be right, they would be rather too old with him born 1804 and deceased in 1854 in Somerset.
Must admit Im getting a bit ratty in this hunt, Ive made a wrong turn somewhere and muddied the water. I need a fresh look at this.
Not sure why I settled on Thom and Ellen as his parents, perhaps from a census only in which case they may be elder brother or uncle and aunt rather than parent !

Thomas Larkon born 1804 Somerset. Ive got him sewn up with wifey and child.

The mystery for me is : who the heck are this mans parents ?
My target is his father, who I  have as Thomas LARKENN born 1755 Bristol and wed to Ellen ?  born 1760. But this seems wrong, look at the age difference between parents and child born 1804 !
