Patterson, Arthur Barrington b.abt1869 census mysteries

Thank you in advance for any help that can be given on these mysteries.

I have my gg-grandfather Arthur Barrington Patterson in the following census
1911 in Sculcoates (schedule number 152) 
1901 in Sculcoates (RG13/4494 Page 12)
1891 -  mystery No.1 I can't find him - I would be grateful if anyone could track him down?
1881 in South Myton (RG11/4779 page 32)
1871 -  mystery No.2 he appears to be with the 'Green family", and the Head's sister in law is listed as Arthur's mother (different name to the later census), however she would have had to be 12 when she had the first daughter listed.

That 1871 census with Lucy Barley age 21 from Cambridgeshire and Arthur B Patterson  age 2.
Lucy Barley isn't his mother.
She was born in 1850 in Wisbech and looks like she  his mother's younger sister baptised at Wisbech St Andrew 7.2.1862  born 18.12.1850 d of Thomas and Elizabeth blacksmith.
Arthur's mother is Eliza Barley from the 1881 census born 1841 Wisbech married to a 67 year old William Patterson marine engineer born in Durham 1814.
Although the 1841 census with Thomas and Elizabeth at Wisbech gives her as age 5.(1851 gives her as 13 year old nursemaid.).

John Thomas Green married Anne Eastwood 24.3.1847 at Hull and there is no connection to the Barley's or Patterson's there but if you look closely they are living next door and not the same household at all.
183 Regent St is the household you are interested in and I think William Patterson the Head of the household filled in the form and said he and Eliza would be away on the night.Lucy Barley is his sister in law,the children are his.
The eldest daughter Linda Dunn Barley is registered at Wisbech in Dec 1861 presumably before William's and Eliza's marriage.

Not that I can see their marriage.

ps there's a merchant seaman record of a William Patterson of Shields Durham age 21 joining the Brothers ship of Newcastle 2 Sep 1836 who might be dad.Ticket 632.

I have just found out why I couldn't find Arthur on Ancestry.co.uk - he is recorded as Arthur B Sattorson!
