McEvoys - Rhode / Edenderry 1800s
« on: Monday 10 April 17 13:50 BST (UK) »
Hi all,
I've finally managed to trace my quite elusive 2x great grandparents to Offaly and would be delighted to talk to anyone else who might have information on them.

They are William McEvoy b. Mar 1822 to John McEvoy & Margaret Hogan (m. Feb 1822 in Edenderry)

He was baptised in Edenderry, as were siblings Mary (1823), Michael (1824), Elizabeth (1826), Ann (1827), James (1829), Bidy (1830) and James again (I guess the earlier one died) in 1832.

William married Betty Seery in Rhode in 1852, they moved to Dublin and had four children (that I know of) there. John (1853), Mary (1855), James (1858) and Elizabeth (1863) - there may have been more, I just havent found any yet!!!

Hope this might ring a few bells for someone,
