I think Rita McLaren's maiden surname was Whiteford.
John Murray Swan / Rita McLaren Whiteford marriage 1961 Tradeston Lanark(shire)

Likely deaths for John 2004 Midlothian(mother's maiden name REVELL) , and for Rita(or Rena) 1989 Glasgow.
Looks like the couple divorced in 1969(National Records of Scotland).
