Madewell Northamptonshire

In 1851 Eliza Fisher was said to be born 1795 Madewell NORTHAMPTON i am having problems in finding a suitable marriage and so her maiden name. Please can anyone tell me where MADEWELL is so I can search the parishes around for a suitable lady

Probably Maidwell, a village north of Northampton and West of Kettering

She is married to William Fisher and in Leeds Piece:    2320 Folio:    629 Page Number:    25

Thanks Trees. Not that it helps much.

As all the children are born in Leeds have you found a marriage in the area
for them, also her age is 55 on the 1841, and 66 on the 1851 giving her a
possible birth date between 1786-1791

I have looked through the baptisms for the area and time frame for Maidwell and can not
see anyone who would be Eliza.

Other villages nearby would have been Draughton, Kelmarsh, Hanging Houghton, Isham.
