Maybe not all of them, some of the Ancestry entries don't have 'exact' or 'correct' information.

As to the the Funeral Directors, the NAFD (National Association) asks their members not to contribute.

I think though they may be working with an organisation that has subscribed to the GRO's DDRI scheme

Thank you. I emailed the MGS archivist yesterday to ask about any records they might hold for my dad. I hadn't actually thought to look for him in Blackpool in 1939 but unless I knew who he was with he simply isn't going to show.
I was scrollling through the MGS archive twitter feed yesterday and came across a photo of boys being evacuated.
