« on: Thursday 13 April 17 17:51 BST (UK) »
My Grt Grt Grandmother Margaret Patterson ( father William Patterson ) Born in down abt 1831/32  married Samuel Gibson 23 Dec 1852 in Dromore C.O.I Banbridge I have found that she died 11 Oct 1865 Banbridge Co.Down The death certificate has little detail. Could some one point me in right direction to find burial site.Samuel and children all moved to belfast and were buried there. Would banbridge Council have records of her burial ?

Dromore isn't in Banbridge  :-\

Dromore C. of I. website- http://cathedral.dromore.anglican.org/

Some Church of Ireland burial ground in Co. Down-
http://www.historyfromheadstones.com/index.php?down&denomination=CI
Most C.O.I. churches kept burial registers but not all pre-1880s ones survive

However, marriages usually take place in bride's church so that may not be where the Gibsons went to church.

Did Margaret actually die in Banbridge itself or nearby? Have you tried searching for a death notice in newspapers? may not be one and if there is one it may not give funeral details but worth a try.

The death Cert., only gives Supt., Registrar's dist., as banbridge. registrar's dist., banbridge no other details of in union of or anything else. the writing is very faded on the certificate but on date and place of death it looks very like gilford. after the marriage their local church would appear to be seapatrick c.o.i.  regarding the the marriage ancestry ireland gives dromore c.o.i. banbridge, dromore. co down
Samuels adress was given as edentirory and margarets as quilly

The death certificate will list exact place of death (under date of death).

Edentiroory is in Banbridge civil parish (Banbridge Poor Law Union/Registration District) as is Quilly townland.

Lots of Co. Down information on this site-
