1836 Overseers Accounts help needed
« on: Friday 14 April 17 14:54 BST (UK) »
I am trying to make sense of the Aug 9th entry for the Overseers accounts for the parish of Denver, Norfolk.
I think I have found the burial of my ancestor Thomas mills but I am not sure if I have read it correctly or what it means!
Paid Mr Denton for burial Mills (?) £???? Paid him with boat (??) r/f

Any help or clarification most appreciated

Paid Mr Renton for [B?] Mills 1L:4s--d  _  Paid Men with Boat 12/-

I am struggling to see the missing word as Burial.

ADDED:

...for Beer at Mills...

...for Beer at Mills...

That's what I had just decided. :)
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

Beer at Mills- I think you are correct.
Overseers paying for beer at mills-there must have been a good reason!
I so wanted it to be burial Mills
It is so helpful to have a fresh pair of eyes looking at it.
Now to resume the search for the burial elsewhere. Thanks again.
