Robert Tungate b.c.1785 - Upton - parents and siblings please
« on: Sunday 16 April 17 00:29 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

I have returned to one of my direct lines and would like to get further back.  I know what happened to my 4xGt Grandfather, Robert Tungate, later in life, but would like to know more about his own family.

He was born in Upton, Norfolk, c.1785 (as per the 1851 census) and he married Elizabeth Cumber in 1808 in Lambeth, London.

If anyone has access to the records, I'd like to know who his parents were and also any siblings, please.

Regards, Emma ;)

Found the wills on Norfolk Sources.
Benjamin mentions sons  John and Robert, daughter Susannah w/o William Baker of Potter Heigham,
daughter Elizabeth w/o Samuel Warnes of Beighton.
This was written 5 April 1807, probated 29 January 1814

Son Benjamin had died and was buried 7 June 1804 age 28 son of Benjamin.

Susannah mentions son John and daughters Susannah and Elizabeth.

Thank you so much for all of the information! I've got a lot to look at today!

Have had a look on the map to see where Upton is.  Think I'll be making a trip out there soon.

Thanks again,

Emma :)
