hi, thanks again all, do you know whether the school lane is the one by the blue coat chambers in liverpool one, this school lane is in the center of town and st george s hall s there also
but i dont know if thats the district
also i think that the 1851 census has been mis-conscribed i think their ages say 58 for him and 56 for her, that would be more in line with each census, only 2 years out, and then dorothy on 1861 census being 69

also i ve been looking into death cert for dorothy, the only one i can find is 1867, but living in a workhouse ??i know her son john drisdale from first marriage and son henry bullen both moved round the country seemingly together, they were both printers and were both living in newcastle in the 1871 census, but would that be usual to leave your mum in a poorhouse ??
she did have other children, and one last also, is it odd that she had a daughter in 1820 then none till 12 years later, as i cant find any more ??, thanks again

The Workhouse not only looked after the poor it helped the elderly and people in bad health.

hi the only thing wrong with the above, robert is aways down as 2 years older than dorothy, and as she married in 1814 first to john drisdale he must have been born before 1800 ??
