Where do I go from here?

I have found 2 baptisms on ancestry and either one could be the baptism I am looking for.

George Lewis born 1792 (c) Bristol.  Married Elizabeth Gorden in 1817 Saint Augustine The Less, Bristol.

Have you checked the witnesses to the marriage? Marriage bonds?

Also check for siblings, sometimes a slightly more unusual name follows down the family.  Parents may live with  one of the children in old age, so worth checking 1841/1851 census if you're lucky.

Does the baptisms show father's occupation, sometimes sons follow on, not proof, I know, but could give you a lead.

Wills also sometimes name siblings.

At present do not subscribe to ancestry so will recheck the 1841 census at the library later.

George himself was a Wheelwright, on his marriage certificate.  Witnesses do not appear to be of any help but again will check.

Family tree has father Thomas but don't know where that info has come from and no mother listed.

Birth for George shown as 23 Jun 1792.
