Hello hope you had a good Easter. John MINARD and his wife Ann (nee Lloyd) arrived in in Adelaide on the " Caucacian " 25th April 1853.Think they were married. I am   .  trying to find their  parents. I sort of know they came from Herforshire maybe even the grand parents any help will be appreciated

Hi thank you the tree is starting to grow ,why did they came to  S.A. did they get free passage . You a answered the question while   I was typing. I love the pussy cat we had one like himor her cheers gail :)

They did get a free passage - this is an extract of the  South Austrailia Government  Gazette 4 May 1853 hopefully!!

Re Ann Lloyd - in 1851 her birthplace is listed as Biford?? 

I wonder if this is her bapt born 16 Jun 1822 Byford with father Joseph https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NKND-CQ3

Great reading Matha was living kingstone  herefordshire Wales as they close to the boarder  is Lloyd a welsh name .  Yes tI think you are  spot on it must be hers Give Bix a pat for  me cheers Gail :) :)

Looking as baptisms on Family Search it looks as though Joseph and Ann Lloyd had several children in Byford then moved to Clehonger and with a daughter Margaret bapt there in 1827 which fits in with this family in 1851 https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:SGPH-VNN

Joseph's birthplace could be Wellington
