Parish records withdrawn from Find MY Past
« on: Wednesday 19 April 17 10:45 BST (UK) »
I have discovered that  parish records  for LLanbeblig    have been withdrawn  from Find my Past.  Apparently  problems  with  licence?  Hope they will be restored!

Why shouldn't the local registrars etc set up a licence agreement with these ppv websites and get back some money from these companies

Burials appear to be still there - via FS - although 1900's not available.

Could it be that the parish has withdrawn their consent  :-\
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Parish Registers are not the concern of Registrars, they only deal with the civil side of registration, PRs come under control of the appropriate Diocese.

Sorry I realise that, I was just making the point that licences of some sort should be made between register 'holders'  and these ppv sites.
