Llanquic to Carbondale PA 1830 ish
« on: Wednesday 19 April 17 16:38 BST (UK) »
Folks, I've just started a research for people who left Wales about 1830 as part of a call to mine coal in Carbondale, PA.  The stone markers that we have note that the immigrants were from Llanguic.  Originally there were 30 families who came with an additional 60 post 1830.  I will be accompanying a choir tour of Wales starting June 20, 2017 for two weeks.  Photos available.  Connections in Wales would be most helpful.  We will be spending time in Ystradgynlais, from where our invitation originated.
All the best.
