so far we have not located where he was buried, would cremations be around in 1926 ?

The first crematorium in England was at Woking, Surrey in 1878  ;)

Georgre was Brandon Colliery Manager when he was hit by a rockfall and died of his injuries on the 13 April 1926.
So far we cannot find where he was buried or even now cremated could anyone help ( he is not in Brandon cemetery). Also where would be the best place to look to see if a photo existed of him.

Have you tried looking at  Newspapers to see if there is a death notice which might mention a burial place

George was killed by a rockfall at Brandon Colliery Co Durham and died on the 13th April 1926.

There's a very short article in the Hartlepool Northern Daily Mail of 1 May 1926 that says "George C Nelson (67), manager of Brandon Colliery, had had a fatal seizure in the pit.  Mr Nelson was inspecting the mine, accompanied by Mr Martin Greener, the agent, when he suddenly collapsed."

In your other thread Threads merged. you say that he is not in Brandon cemetery.

Does this mean that you have actually inspected the burial records for that cemetery, or that you haven't found a headstone there?
