Nice obituary for Emma Snow in the MacGregor Herald, July 4, 1940.

She passed away at the Portage la Prairie hospital on June 28th.  She was 75.  She was born at Southend-On-Sea,England and came to Canada in 1881.  She settled in the Southend district, south of MacGregor... with her husband S Snow, they established a farm.  When they retired, they lived in town for a while, then they moved to the Coast (doesn't say which one/where) for 3 years and returned in 1923.  Mr Snow predeceased his wife in Dec 1930 (could say 1939 - hard to read).  She was a member of St. Paul's Church and of the I.O.D.E.  She is survived by one daughter, Mrs James Towle of Rossendale, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  There are 2 sisters and 1 brother in England. Interment MacGregor Cemetery.

Obit for Samuel Snow - Winnipeg Free Press, Monday Dec 22 1930.

He died on Saturday (Dec 20).  He was in his 66th year.  He had lived a mile and half south east of MacGregor.  He died at the hospital in Portage, of blood poisoning.   He came to Canada in 1884, from Barlin ??? Essex, England (can't read this very well).  He homesteaded in the South End district.  He was a school trustee for 11 years and was on the North Norfolk Council for 4 years.  He was a warden of St Paul's Church.  He lived on the Pacific Coast for a couple of years, and for several years, carried on a meat business "here" (likely MacGregor).  Survived by his widow and one daughter, Mrs James Towle.
