From Virginia to Liverpool UK
« on: Thursday 20 April 17 18:42 BST (UK) »
On the same baptism page as one of my relatives i saw
Liverpool July 1827
Child and mothers name not visible but father is listed as

"William Logan. man of colour . native of Virginia . mariner .aged 24 "

I suppose that is Virginia USA ....I wonder how common it was for American sailors to have children in UK

I wonder if the couple stayed in UK or returned to Virginia

(Other men's ages are not listed on the baptism records ...Why is his an exception ?. )

I hope some Logan descendants will find that record

Child and mothers name not visible?

We would need to see the image but in this case I think it probably was the baptism of William Logan. It was not unusual to see ages noted where people were baptised as adults.

I have access to the image . It clearly shows the baptism of the adult William Logan as you suggest.
